Responsibilities
Oversee all General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting activity for a multi-entity corporation
Manage all aspects of month-end and year-end financial close processes and procedures
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and financial KPI’s
Report on weekly/monthly company cash flow
Analyze costs and generate ad-hoc reports when needed to provide support and service to our internal and external customers
Identify, evaluate, and implement key accounting policies and procedures, as well as technology solutions, to maximize efficiency and productivity
Collaborate with business partners on large-scale projects to improve the flow of business, such as inventory control and expense management
Coordinate annual budgeting process via cross-departmental collaboration
Lead annual external audit process for the business
Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team to ensure that the financial, accounting, and reporting needs are met to support the management team in achieving the company’s goals and objectives
Mentor and develop staff to build technical and analytical capabilities
Serve as a financial advisor to management, supporting sound decision-making with data-driven insights
Partner with the CFO and other leaders on short and long-term capital planning, including identifying and evaluating financial return on investment of all new capital expenditure proposals
Assist in the design, development, and implementation of strong financial control processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, minimization of business risk, and proper stewardship of all company assets
Qualification
Required
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-departmentally
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and effective time management
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Must be willing to promote a culture of continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and tools
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, dynamic work environment
Previous experience with GAAP and prior working experience in manufacturing or distribution industries
Full-cycle accounting, inventory management, and multi-entity consolidation experience
Advanced experience with all standard Microsoft Office products
3+ years of leadership experience, including training, managing, and coaching small onsite teams
Preferred
Tableau experience is a plus
Strong ERP experience, with preference given to candidates with new ERP implementation experience
