District Sales Manager - East Coast
Conductix-Wampfler is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven District Sales Manager to own and grow their East Coast territory. This fully remote role focuses on managing customer relationships, driving sales performance, and growing revenue through in-person customer visits and presentations.

Responsibilities
Manage and grow a defined East Coast territory
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end users
Travel throughout the territory (driving required) for in-person customer visits
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and support corporate customer meetings
Represent Conductix at trade shows and industry events
Resolve customer issues and support order execution
Perform other duties as assigned
Territory Sales Management: The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the territory sales plan in alignment with SMO USA's sales goals. The candidate is responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts and identifying, pursuing, and converting new customer accounts to grow the assigned territory
Sales Planning and Forecasting: The candidate will prepare annual sales forecasts and budgets for the territory. The candidate will support the SMO USA’s sales management team by providing highly detailed and well-thought-out forecasts for the territory, based on customer feedback, projects in the sales pipeline, and ongoing product specification efforts with OEMs
Customer Engagement and Development: The candidate will drive their personal vehicle throughout the assigned territory to conduct in-person customer visits with both established and prospective accounts. Customer visits will require preparing and delivering on-site presentations and product demos, customer installation walk-throughs, and representing SMO USA at industry trade shows and related customer-facing events. The candidate will regularly travel between customer locations, industrial facilities, and project sites to advance sales opportunities and support territory growth. Conductix’s compensation plan includes reimbursement for travel expenses
Customer Retention: The candidate will serve as the primary SMO USA representative to assigned customers and the conduit between SMO USA’s inside sales team and the customer. is responsible for maintaining strong account relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, resolving issues promptly, and preserving long-term loyalty to SMO USA products and services
CRM Documentation: The candidate is responsible for recording and reporting sales activities using Navpoint CRM. The candidate will update customer contact information, enter trip reports on time, in accordance with SMO USA’s standards, and provide regular updates on large project information
Quality and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance: Support and uphold the Quality and EHS policies of the organization

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field
Proven success in industrial or technical outside sales
Experience with end users, OEMs, or industrial distributors
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical topics
Physical ability for demanding field visits (walking, climbing, carrying demo kits)
Adaptability and resilience when navigating customer issues or shifting priorities
Experience using CRMs and modern sales tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions independently
Self-motivated and accountable to results while working remote
Ability to build strong professional relationships and navigate customer challenges effectively
Resilience and adaptability in responding to sales challenges, including late shipments, customer issues, and shifting territory demands, while maintaining professionalism and momentum
Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of accounts without compromising quality
High attention to detail related to customer interactions, forecasting, territory planning, and CRM documentation
Exceptional presentation skills to confidently present to and collaborate with diverse audiences, including internal/external customers and groups (10+), ranging from frontline staff to executives
Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle suitable for frequent business travel within the assigned territory
Ability to independently plan and navigate long-distance driving between customer sites, industrial facilities, and project locations
Comfortable entering and moving through manufacturing, port, and industrial environments while carrying demo tools, materials, or equipment with proper PPE as required
At least three years of experience in a sales position or a similar customer-facing role
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
Ability to draw and interpret graphs on Excel and similar software packages
Preferred
Experience with Power BI or other business analytics tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
An understanding of geometry and measuring techniques
