Marketing & Community Scout Manager
Babson College is home to the Weissman Foundry, a prototyping space serving students from Babson, Olin, and Wellesley. The Marketing & Community Scout Manager is responsible for documenting Foundry activities and creating engaging content for social media, while also supporting community engagement and visibility for Foundry events and projects.

Responsibilities
Photograph and film projects, workshops, trainings, fellowship teams, and everyday prototyping
Gather short interviews, quotes, or mini-stories from students and teams
Identify content opportunities by checking in with staff and scouts
Manage the Foundry’s Instagram: posts, reels, stories, quick updates, tagging
Support occasional LinkedIn posts focused on milestones and high-impact work
Maintain a simple, repeatable posting rhythm aligned with Foundry activity
Create basic graphics, flyers, or templates for events and announcements
Support visibility for the Foundry Fellowship, Workshops, general Foundry use, and major events such as our Buildathons
Help build a visual library that shows the Foundry’s identity as a prototyping lab
Be present in our space regularly to connect with students and understand what’s happening
Coordinate with scouts to surface interesting projects
Help build a culture of sharing, documenting, and celebrating student work
Qualification
Required
Creative and comfortable taking photos or filming short clips
Good at noticing interesting moments or stories
Organized, reliable, and proactive about following up with people
Familiar with social media—or at least willing to learn quickly
Interested in design, entrepreneurship, tech, or making (no experience required)
