Responsibilities
You will work with multiple levels of an organization to develop solutions targeting the Splunk customer base with our security solutions team
You will translate requirements into designs and leverage various tools to implement including python scripting and prompt engineering as appropriate
Solutions will cover the full life cycle of Splunk solution ownership from ingestion through operations
Solutions will extend to complementary security technologies
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop adoption plans
Provide technical guidance and expertise to junior team members and client stakeholders on solution best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, data analytics, or similar
7+ years of experience in an IT-related position
5+ years scripting or development experience
Splunk Core Certified Consultant (formerly Splunk Accredited Consultant Fundamentals and Splunk Certified Consultant II) certification
2+ years experience with Splunk
Extensive experience in threat hunting, red teaming, or penetration testing, with a deep understanding of common attack vectors and methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify actionable insights
Experience with both Linux and Windows, including the Linux command line and tools such as vi
Experience with scripting languages (bash), development languages (Java, Python), and databases
Proven ability to communicate effectively, across levels of an organization
A self-starter who can remain motivated when working individually
2-5 years of consulting experience
Preferred
Masters Degree in a related field
Splunk Enterprise Security (accreditation preferred)
Experience with other Splunk premium security tools or products (UBA, RBA, Phantom) is a plus
Experience with additional security tools a plus including, risk tools, BAS/CART, EDR, Kali, IDS/IPS, Firewall, MFA
Familiarity with GRC (governance, risk & compliance) experience a plus – NIST, FISMA, HIPPA, etc
