Responsibilities
Trains, mentors, supervises, and evaluates crew members by checking their work for efficiency and quality; Initiates corrective action as necessary
Supervises employees in any of the following functions: Utility locates, leak response, hydrant maintenance and dead -end main flushing
Develops and maintains customized and periodic reports to assist the Superintendent in the evaluation of operational effectiveness, resource allocation, and service quality
Coordinates and ensures timely execution of service requests and work orders related to assigned operational areas
Interprets blueprints, construction plans, as-built drawings and reads and interprets block maps, operations and maintenance manuals and maintenance reports
Operates a variety of complex equipment associated with specific assignments such as pipe tracing equipment, ground penetrating radar, and leak detection tools
Adheres to and promotes safety policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Three years' experience in operation, maintenance or construction of water or wastewater facilities
TCEQ Class “C” Water Distribution Operator License within 24 months of hire
Valid Class “C” Texas Driver's License
Work Zone Traffic Control, Excavation Safety, and Confined Space Awareness and/or certification where applicable
Pass position specific physical testing
Ability to report to work on time, maintain a good attendance record, and work all designated work schedules
Preferred
Class "III" Wastewater Collection Operator License
