Responsibilities
Prepare business process maps based on research, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering
Create BPMN‑compliant process maps using Microsoft Visio and other BPM tools
Develop and maintain documentation including process maps, interview notes, requirements, and recommendations
Collaborate with FERC CIO and Program Office staff to document as‑is and to‑be processes
Recommend process improvements to enhance federal IT and business operations
Ensure rigorous recordkeeping and artifact management aligned with FERC policies
Maintain awareness of federal IT governance, mandates, and regulatory compliance requirements
Manage and respond to business process engineering service requests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of experience in business process engineering, mapping, or re‑engineering
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio
Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms
Knowledge of BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Understanding of federal compliance requirements (OMB, NIST, etc.)
Experience supporting federal agencies or working within federal contracting environments
Preferred
Lean, Six Sigma, or BPMN certification
Experience supporting CPIC, IT policy, or federal modernization initiatives
Familiarity with FERC or similar regulatory agencies
