Responsibilities
Architect end-to-end security solutions across identity, cloud, and endpoint ecosystems, ensuring resilience against advanced threats
Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for new features and services, embedding security into design and development lifecycles
Define security standards and patterns for multi-cloud environments and adaptive workloads
Drive AI-enabled security strategies, integrating machine learning for anomaly detection, posture management, and runtime protection
Collaborate with senior engineering leaders to prioritize security investments and influence product roadmaps
Mentor security engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion
Represent Microsoft at industry forums, conferences, and standards bodies to advance security best practices
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or related field AND 5+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat analysis or modeling, cybersecurity, vulnerability research, and/or anomaly detection OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat analysis or modeling, cybersecurity, vulnerability research, and/or anomaly detection OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or related field AND 8+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat analysis or modeling, cybersecurity, vulnerability research, and/or anomaly detection OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
