Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Talent Bridge is hiring for a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to maintain and service a fleet of mobile and heavy equipment at an industrial cement manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment readiness through inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while maintaining high standards for safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies at all times
Comply with OSHA and MSHA safety requirements, including confined-space entry, lockout/tagout, working at heights, and proper use of personal protective equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and steering system issues
Perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and gasoline engines
Operate and inspect heavy equipment to identify defects and required repairs
Use diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment to evaluate engine and system performance
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists, hand tools, and shop equipment
Schedule maintenance activities and maintain accurate service and inspection records
Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and schematics
Perform routine servicing, including lubrication and maintenance of tires, batteries, brakes, and valves
Support continuous improvement initiatives and complete additional duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
3–5 years of hands-on experience maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment
Experience with haul trucks, loaders, and industrial or mining equipment
Ability to operate shop tools, air and hydraulic jacks, grinders, and welding equipment
Proficiency with basic computer tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities in an industrial environment
Ability to work safely in physically demanding conditions
Ability to use required personal protective equipment, with reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with applicable laws

Preferred

Associate or technical degree in maintenance, automotive technology, or a related field
