Responsibilities

Contribute to Fidelity’s future growth using human-centered design to understand customers, generate new offerings and rapidly experiment with new ideas

Design and conduct user research, identifying insights and opportunity areas, leading ideation, and testing/learning through prototype development and experiments

Dig into challenging, ambiguous, human-centered problems that intersect finance, technology, work, health, and data

Lead a multidisciplinary cross-disciplinary team through the human-centered design process, or lead specific workstreams within the effort

Navigate a complex organization and manage stakeholder relationships

Design and execute qualitative research using a variety of methods based on project goals and timelines

Synthesize actionable insights, key frameworks, and opportunity areas from research

Translate opportunities to ideas—guiding the team through ideation, concept development, testing and iteration

Present findings and concepts to senior leaders

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in design or business

10+ years of experience in Design Research / Design Strategy / Experience Strategy. Background working on multiple projects at a product design or innovation firm

Ability to lead a multidisciplinary cross-disciplinary team through the human-centered design process, or lead specific workstreams within the effort

Ability to navigate a complex organization and manage stakeholder relationships

Ability to design and execute qualitative research using a variety of methods based on project goals and timelines

Synthesis expertise—ability to get to the so what, actionable insights, key frameworks, and opportunity areas from research so the whole team can move forward

Ability to translate opportunities to ideas—guiding the team through ideation, concept development, testing and iteration

Excellent communication and presentation skills; experience presenting to senior leaders
