Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and calibrate a wide range of instrumentation and control equipment used in water and wastewater systems
Monitor and perform calibrations for Lee County Utilities systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
Diagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation malfunctions; determine and implement corrective actions
Maintain detailed calibration reports, logs, and daily activity summaries
Collaborate with operations staff to meet all regulatory and compliance requirements related to calibration and reporting
Provide training and technical support to operations personnel on instrumentation systems and best practices
Participate in on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required
Qualification
Required
Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience in general electronics, instrumentation, water systems, wastewater systems, or a related field
Possession of a valid Florida Class E driver's license (or equivalent) with an acceptable driving record
Preferred
College coursework or technical school training in water and wastewater instrumentation, electronics, or related technology
Experience with instrumentation calibration software and methods, and instrumentation troubleshooting
Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices related to instrumentation and control systems
