Program Manager - After School Program

Alaska Native Heritage Center, Incorporated is seeking a Program Manager for their After School Program. The Program Manager will oversee the execution of academic and cultural programming, manage project staff, and ensure proper funding oversight while developing community partnerships and maintaining project documentation.

Responsibilities

Responsible for execution of grants project goals and deliverables
In coordination with the Director of Programs, create and maintain community partnerships, and create program protocols
Supervise the project staff
Meet regularly with the project team to discuss current participants and planned activities
Coordinate with Anchorage School District to collect data as necessary for reporting purposes
Complete and submit reports as required
Coordinate the search process for contractors and oversight of deliverables by contractors
Ensure confidentiality and security of all electronic and paper files by following strict security protocols and limiting access to project employees
Assist participants with necessary paperwork to participate in program
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information
Liaise with partners to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
Help prepare budgets
Analyze risks and opportunities
Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants and partners
Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)

Required

Proven work experience as a Program Manager or similar role
Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
An ability to prepare and interpret schedules and step-by-step action plans
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Hands-on experience with educational projects
Bachelor's degree in management or comparable educational experience
Have basic writing and public speaking skills
Be able to prepare reports in word and excel
Have basic computer skills
Skill in the use of copier, fax, and other office equipment
Have basic knowledge of Alaska, Alaska's history, and Alaska Native cultures
Have basic understanding of ANHC's mission, direction, and history or be willing to receive training
Receive direction and guidance from department supervisors
Work as a team or independently
Ability to problem solve individually and seek assistance from the supervisor as needed

Preferred

Education, Social enterprise, or professional development experience preferred
