Provide information to patients regarding their account status
Assist customers with problem resolution
Provide clerical and administrative support to the department
Demonstrate commitment to internal and external customer service
Achieve established telephone performance standards
Handle multiple tasks at once

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 - 3 years' experience in a hospital business office environment in the areas of claim processing, billing and follow-up
1-2 year's previous customer service experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically that of Outlook and Word

Preferred

Bi-Lingual -- Spanish
1-2 years working knowledge of McKesson/STAR with an emphasis on Patient Registration/Insurance Management
Working knowledge of all types of medical insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, Blue Cross, etc.)
