Design Liaison Engineer
Cynet Systems is seeking a Design Liaison Engineer to support hardware qualifications for new processes and equipment implementation. The role involves applying knowledge of Hot Gas Path design and manufacturing to enhance part functionality, reduce costs, and drive quality improvements within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Support hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, and new equipment
Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to enhance part functionality, reduce cost, and add value
Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens and Lean Action Workouts
Support design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent engineering activities
Engage proactively in quality initiatives for defect reduction and process improvement
Support qualification guidelines, specifications, and address top manufacturing issues
Assist in technology development and qualification of special processes such as castings, coatings, and hole drilling
Foster teamwork, a positive work environment, and drive a sense of urgency and commitment to quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Relevant mechanical engineering experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery, specifically hot gas path components
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, materials, and coatings
Previous experience in non-conformance dispositioning using mechanical engineering assessments
Familiarity with Ansys, NX, and other analytical tools
Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional global organization
Self-motivated, humble, open-minded, and committed to continuous learning
Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on business needs
Preferred
Gas turbine engineering experience
Manufacturing experience
Proficiency in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control
Background in HGP components, including NX and GD&T
Experience with advanced manufacturing processes
Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to build trust and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Customer-focused mindset with strong quality orientation
Willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver best-in-class products
