Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale backend, AI, and cloud-native software programs, from roadmap planning to final release
Drive coordinated execution across cross-functional teams of 30+ engineers and contributors, spanning Backend, AI, Data Science, and Operations
Translate complex product requirements into executable technical plans by partnering with Product Management and engineering leadership
Manage both Agile sprint execution and Waterfall project schedules to ensure the timely and successful delivery of multiple concurrent workstreams
Produce weekly technical project reports with data-driven analysis, risk tracking, and visual artifacts to ensure alignment across all stakeholders
Guide time-series analysis and investigation across operational and delivery data to inform strategic decisions and drive incident response
Ensure UX considerations are seamlessly integrated into the technical delivery lifecycle by collaborating with design and product teams
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to pager duty triggers to resolve critical delivery or production incidents
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager, with quantifiable success leading projects involving 30+ engineers and contributors
3+ years of experience supporting or leading projects involving backend and AI software architecture
Demonstrated ability to deliver software engineering-heavy projects, not just coordination-focused roles
Strong expertise in cloud-native systems (specifically AWS services like EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, and RDS) and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
Fluency in Python and Go at a level sufficient for design and code review
Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB Atlas
Familiarity with monitoring and investigative tooling, including Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk or the Elastic Stack
Expert written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
A Master's degree in Engineering and/or an MBA
Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master)
Experience delivering large-scale enterprise cloud systems with high availability, security, and compliance requirements
A background that includes both engineering-facing and customer-facing roles
Direct experience with AI/ML tools and platforms, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Strong mathematical and statistical understanding as it applies to AI systems (e.g., linear algebra, probability, model evaluation)
Previous experience in a security, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS-focused environment
