Air Monitoring Equipment Specialist

NEOGOV is seeking an Air Monitoring Equipment Specialist to support the Department of Environmental Protection's mission of protecting air quality and enhancing environmental health. The role involves ensuring the precision and dependability of air quality monitoring systems through maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

Review automated 2-week precision checks of continuous analyzers, including SO2, NO2, O3 and CO analyzers
Perform preventive maintenance at remote air monitoring stations every two weeks
Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and recalibrate equipment as necessary
Document calibration activities through the Air Quality Portal
Analyze various symptoms and parameters—such as voltages, flows, pressures, temperatures, and sounds—to implement corrective actions

Required

Two years of technical experience testing and repairing electronic or electrical equipment; or
An associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, information sciences and technology, or a closely related field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
