Benefit Program Specialist I(Eligibility Specialist) 7335

The Benefit Program Specialist I will evaluate benefit and eligibility programs while ensuring compliance and effectiveness, and may also assist in case management and public assistance program establishment.

Responsibilities
Evaluate the effectiveness of benefit and eligibility programs by auditing processes and reporting findings to stakeholders
Assist in establishing public assistance programs in response to legislative mandates and recommend policy or policy revisions to governing bodies
Oversee and determine high value claims, benefits, and/or eligibility through consideration of a wide range of legal, medical, occupational, and other factors
Advocate in an appeals process
Perform case management work
