Responsibilities
Represent insurers and self-insured clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation strategy, coverage evaluation, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal
Provide thoughtful and strategic counsel to clients on litigation avoidance, risk exposure, and regulatory considerations
Collaborate with clients to provide internal training and proactive claims management solutions
Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the ongoing development of practice group strengths
Cultivate and grow client relationships in alignment with firm values and business development goals
Qualification
Required
10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, ideally including first- and third-party claims, coverage analysis, and complex commercial disputes
Strong trial and/or arbitration experience preferred
Deep knowledge of New York and/or New Jersey insurance law
Demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes matters independently and/or as part of a team
A portable book of business ($500K+ preferred) with the desire to scale further within a supportive platform
Preferred
Experience advising on catastrophe litigation, municipal claims, transportation liability, or fraud investigations is a plus
