Mechanical Engineet
FirstSpear is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for their Fenton, MO location. This role will be responsible for analyzing, and overseeing the development and maintenance of mechanical systems, tooling, instruments, and components, while coordinating with all departments to improve processes and strengthen efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of production standards
Conduct analysis to optimize product designs, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Perform tests, analyze data, and make necessary modifications to ensure products meet quality and performance standards
Create and implement solutions for mechanical problems, conducting research, and ensuring that systems and components meet performance and safety standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems within the overall production cycle
Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of mechanical designs and processes
Devise systems that will integrate workers, machines, and materials. Follow up on opportunities to improve performance and support company goals
Comply with and prepare necessary paperwork consistent with company guidelines, industry and legal requirements and SOPs
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of mechanical systems related to industrial equipment
Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to quickly learn the equipment
Proven track record of developing or improving processes to drive efficiency
Strategic thinking
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly motivated, driven, and achievement oriented
Effective time management and organizational skills
Positive and collaborative attitude
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records
25% travel required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent years of related experience
Excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes required
Proficiency in CAD and other engineering software
Excellent organizational skills
Willing to work in a plant environment
Preferred
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodology tools preferred
Experience with best practices and 5S a plus
