The role involves conducting research in deep reinforcement learning and mentoring students while participating in grant writing and proposal development.

Responsibilities

Conduct research in deep reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, trustworthy AI, explainable/safe SI, neuro-symbolic/neuro-symbolic AI, and intelligent autonomous driving
Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in AI-related research projects
Participate in grant writing and proposal development to support ongoing and future research initiatives
Additional duties as assigned

Required

PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Applied Math, or a closely related field of study
Selected candidate must have PhD. conferred upon hire
Knowledge in scientific or engineering field related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Knowledge in control theory and applications
Conduct research in deep reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, trustworthy AI, explainable/safe SI, neuro-symbolic/neuro-symbolic AI, and intelligent autonomous driving
Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in AI-related research projects
Participate in grant writing and proposal development to support ongoing and future research initiatives

Preferred

Effective writing experience for publication of articles in scientific research journals
