Project Manager

The Project Manager oversees cross-functional projects within the logistics and distribution network, driving efficiency and performance improvements while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
Transportation/Trucking/Railroad
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for operational initiatives across warehouse, transportation, and fulfillment functions
Coordinate with supply chain, IT, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven process improvement strategies
Track KPIs, analyze performance metrics, and deliver regular project updates to executive leadership
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
Manage vendor and 3PL relationships for project-related activities
Oversee implementation of new technologies, systems, and automation processes in distribution centers
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across all initiatives
Prepare documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to project rollouts
Support change management efforts and stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of project management experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment
Preferred
PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
Familiarity with warehouse automation, transportation planning, or e-commerce fulfillment is a plus
