Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Environmental Services Floor Technician Sr to provide basic and specialty cleaning services throughout the hospital. The role involves maintaining a sanitary and safe environment by performing cleaning tasks independently and in accordance with facility standards.

Responsibilities

Performs daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas including, but not limited to: washing ceilings and walls; mopping hallways, stairwells, and public areas; washing, waxing and/or vacuuming floors
Performs work operating manual, battery-powered and electric equipment; uses cleaning equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, scrubbers and vacuums; cleans and maintains equipment such as janitor closets; monitors assigned areas and equipment for needed repairs and informs supervisor
As needed gathers and disposes of garbage, waste, soiled linen, regulated, and regular trash in the prescribed manner
Works with Supervisor and Project Planner on inter office moves and relocations moving furniture and other objects as needed
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Shampoos and extracts carpeting and upholstery. Buff hard-surface floors and use cleaning machinery as needed

Required

One year Environmental Services experience required
Two years Floor Care Experience required

Preferred

Friendly, kind and positive attitude
Ability to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions
Customer service driven
