In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare environment
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site protocols
Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the healthcare location
Qualification
Required
Vaccinations are required for work in hospital environments
Work in hospital morgue environments is required
The ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
