The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a self-starter to join their Recruiting team as a Recruiter I. In this entry-level position, you will implement full-cycle recruiting, which includes entering requisitions, screening applications, and setting up interviews.

Responsibilities

Work with Recruiting team and hiring managers to support recruitment strategies and timelines
Respond to emerging recruiting needs and provide support as needs arise
Review applications to evaluate qualifications
Work with hiring managers to develop and review interview questions and panels
Participate in the City’s recruitment outreach efforts, including community career fairs and events, working alongside team members; occasional evening and weekend hours may be required
Communicate with applicants regarding application status and qualifications
Collaborate with the Human Resource team to support the HR service delivery model
Work with supervisor on projects as requested for metrics, tracking, and reporting
Attend related webinars and training workshops as requested
Work with the recruiting team to research and identify effective posting sources
Participate in training for customers in recruitment processes when necessary

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study
One year of full-time, professional experience in human resources or recruiting/talent acquisition

Preferred

Experience with NeoGov or another Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience working in a government setting
