Responsibilities

Sew furniture pieces accurately using set standards
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Sewing fabric/leatherReading sew notesUsing industrial sewing machineMeasuring with rulerCommunication skillsAttention to detailTeam player

Required

Must be able to read/write English
Must be able to consistently push/pull and lift up to 15 lbs
Must be able to sew an accurate ½” seam
Sew straight stitches
Ensure there are no skipped stitches
Must be able to read and comprehend sew notes written in English
Must be able to sew to set specifications
Must have good vision for both up close and color
Must be able to use a ruler to measure correctly
Must be able to inspect for correct color, holes, flaws, etc
Must be able to use an electric industrial sewing machine safely and efficiently
Must be able to thread a needle
Must be able to meet established goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills is a must to convey information in both written and oral form
Strict attention to detail
Must be a team player with a positive attitude
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Must be able sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day
Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime
Must be able to wear required PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes
Must be able to adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others
