Responsibilities
Lead the Workday Time and Payroll Implementation from planning to go-live and hypercare
Create and manage project plans, schedules, risks, issues, and communications
Coordinate HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Security, and external Workday Consultants
Oversee system configuration, testing, cutover, and deployment activities
Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations (federal, state, and local)
Manage integrations (tax filing, benefits, banking, time clocks, etc.)
Drive payroll parallel testing, UAT, and end-to-end validation
Provide regular updates to leadership and support decision-making
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years project management experience with HR/Payroll systems is required (HR Workday is preferred, but any HR tool will be acceptable)
Strong experience leading Workday Time Tracking and Payroll Implementations
Deep understanding of U.S. Payroll Rules, Taxes, and Compliance
Experienced in managing large-scale Payroll Projects (10k+ employees preferred)
Strong communication, coordination, and vendor-management skills
Preferred
A PMP or Workday Pro Certification is preferred
Experience with ADP Smart Compliance or similar payroll integrations is preferred
