TRIO Upward Bound Program Manager
The University of Georgia is the state’s flagship university and is seeking a TRIO Upward Bound Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of three federally funded Upward Bound Programs. The role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with federal requirements, and providing support to educationally non-traditional students.

Responsibilities
Develop the Programs’ annual goals and objectives for three federally funded TRIO grants
Plan and oversee all project services to participants during the academic year and summer component
Establish procedures to select middle and high school students for participation and verify their eligibility. This includes all marketing
Supervise and coordinate the activities and responsibilities of professional support staff
Maintain an efficient management and record-keeping system acting as a repository for all personnel records and procedures
Execute the management plan to monitor the achievement of the Program goals and measurable objectives
Compile and submit all annual and semi-annual reports for the University, State, and US Department of Education through the OSSA’s Assistant Director for Access
Deal effectively with and serves as a principal program representative to students, parents, secondary and post-secondary school personnel, community agencies as well as various college personnel
Ensure a supportive environment for all participants
Supervise staff, recruiting, hiring and training staff
Evaluate staff annually
Establish and implement staff development activities
Participate in state, regional, and national staff development activities
Other duties as assigned
Participate in professional development
Engage in and support OSSA, UGA, and external committees, presentations, and events. Assist with new and emerging work projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience
Experience and training in managing similar projects, higher education and supervising, maintaining budgets, written reports, and program evaluations
Ability to set goals, based on participant needs, individual group and virtual service delivery coordination
Strong oral and written communication and experience of supervising staff, experience with data management systems, experience conducting program evaluations and administering projects, and excellent analytical skills
Ability to drive to site schools and programming events as needed
Ability to lift 10-15 lbs
Valid Driver's license
Preferred
At least three years of experience in educational projects designed to impact educationally non-traditional students
Master's degree in a related field
