Responsibilities

Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections and tests on components and finished products across all work areas, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures
Record inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures, following cGDP
Prevent mix-ups, damage, deterioration, contamination, or other adverse effects to products during handling
Operate all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and documented in procedures
Identify and segregate nonconforming products from the production line according to documented policies and procedures
Follow the NCR procedure when a nonconformity is identified and participate in the NCR response team (NRT) by collecting and providing pertinent information
Offer suggestions for enhancing quality, manufacturing, and safety, including recommendations for policies and procedures
Follow gowning, PPE, and cleanliness procedures, and practice good personal hygiene to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity
Notify supervision of issues or errors, providing immediate response
Support the onboarding and training of new Quality Control Inspectors
Work overtime as needed per company policy to meet production demand
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Halt manufacturing upon identifying nonconformities and request the initiation of NCRs
Label nonconforming products accordingly

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience in Quality Inspections, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or one year of experience with Ambu products
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in reading inspection gauges/instruments (e.g., tape measure, Go/No Go gauges, calipers, etc.) and other measuring devices
Basic math skills for addition, counting, and timekeeping
Ability to follow directions and documented instructions accurately
Capable of working independently according to specifications and procedures
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Legible handwriting and ability to perform written documentation in compliance with all document control procedures and GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
Ability to distinguish tone and color
Ability to stand for extended periods as needed
Ability to routinely lift, push, and/or pull up to fifty pounds
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be able to read, write, and understand English

Preferred

Technical degree preferred
Experience in the medical device industry preferred
