Responsibilities

Clean up and maintain small business books in QuickBooks Online (Desktop a plus)

Identify and correct posting errors and misclassifications

Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, payroll, and balance sheet accounts

Prepare adjusting journal entries and supporting workpapers

Prepare individual and small business tax returns (S-Corps, Partnerships, Schedule C)

Assist with tax planning and year-end close packages

Prepare tax-ready financial statements

Support responses to basic tax notices (with guidance)

Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify transactions

Provide basic accounting guidance to small business owners

Partner with senior accountants and leadership to meet deadlines

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

1–3+ years of public or small business accounting experience

Strong QuickBooks Online experience

Working knowledge of individual and small business tax

Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven

Preferred

Experience with tax software (UltraTax, ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar)

Prior cleanup or catch-up accounting experience

CPA candidate or interest in licensure
