The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education is offering the Faculty Quantum Summer Research (QuaSR) Program at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences Qubit Collaboratory (LQC). This program provides faculty members with the opportunity to engage in advanced research projects and activities during the summer, culminating in the development of a research white paper for potential funding consideration.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Build a foundation for future LQC collaborations through participation in advanced research projects and related activities during the summer months
Gain a deeper understanding of the LQC’s mission and research interests through onsite participation with government scientists
Define outcomes before participation begins and be mindful of progress made towards these goals and towards the development of a white paper research proposal
Promote participation and experience at the LQC either online or in print, poster or presentation as opportunities present themselves
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizen
Ph.D. in science, mathematics, or relevant engineering discipline
Currently hold a full-time teaching or research appointment at a U.S. accredited degree granting college, university, or technical institution within the U.S. and its territories
Able to pass a security clearance review and be approved for access to LPS facilities
