Responsibilities
Leading and managing case strategy, development, and client communications
Overseeing discovery, including written discovery and document management
Drafting and arguing motions, briefs, and other substantive pleadings
Managing litigation workflow including deadlines, filings, and multiple workstreams
Taking and defending depositions
Serving as first chair at trial when appropriate
Working both independently and as part of a collaborative litigation team
Qualification
Required
10+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
Demonstrated experience handling commercial litigation, particularly in: Commercial real estate disputes, Construction-related litigation, Complex business disputes
Strong experience drafting: Motions and briefs, Written discovery (interrogatories, requests, responses)
Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously with attention to detail and urgency
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with large litigation matters and deposition practice
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admitted to and in good standing with the D.C. Bar, or eligible to waive into D.C
Preferred
Portable business is preferred but not required
