Responsibilities

Plan and execute field activities including well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, surface water and sediment sampling, and other relevant media
Conduct remediation system maintenance
Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts
Coordinate with team
Conduct data evaluation on field and laboratory data sets
Prepare technical reports documenting completed activities and results

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree
Professional experience with delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology/procedures and assessment/evaluation of data for various environmental media
Experience working on project sites and overseeing subcontractors
Experience leading teams toward a common goal
40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification
Willingness to perform field work and travel 40-60% (includes local travel in the Washington D.C. area (DMV) as well as travel outside of the region)
United States Citizenship
Ability to work in the Washington D.C. (DMV) area

Preferred

Master's degree in engineering, geology, or other closely related degree
Professional registration (e.g., Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist) or the intent to obtain and maintain professional certification
Self-driven time management and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, contractors, and clients
Strong attention to detail when conducting field work and evaluating data
Experience working on projects following the CERCLA or RCRA cleanup process
