Responsibilities

Contract Management or Paralegal experience (5+ years), with emphasis on IT and technology service agreements
Negotiating and managing end-to-end contract lifecycles
Knowledge of best practices for IT contract negotiation tactics and strategies
Ability to determine contractual and financial exposure and negotiate favorable terms
Bridging communication between IT and business organizations to structure contracts aligned to business goals
The role serves as the primary subject-matter expert and key contact for contract-related and tender activities involving IT services, hardware, and software across the County
Responsibilities include statutory analysis; negotiating contract terms, conditions, and modifications; coordinating with Procurement and legal stakeholders; and ensuring contracts align with business needs and regulatory requirements
The IT Contracts Manager oversees contract execution, resolves issues, mitigates delays, assists with audits, mediates disputes, and escalates risks as needed
The role also focuses on securing optimal financial terms, managing vendor performance, and driving continuous improvement in contract management processes

Required

Contract Management or Paralegal experience (5+ years), with emphasis on IT and technology service agreements

Bridging communication between IT and business organizations to structure contracts aligned to business goals
Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher (Business, IT, Paralegal, Pre-Law preferred)

Preferred

Knowledge of contracting trends, licensing models, and emerging vendor performance models
Strong project and process management skills
Experience managing multiple vendors and multiple concurrent contracts
Ability to assess contract risk and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
