Responsibilities
Focus on Platform Engineering efforts, designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale platforms, and ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient
Develop and implement platform engineering strategies, including infrastructure as code, containerization, and serverless architectures
Provide technical guidance and push infrastructure/configuration as code and GitOps approach across development departments
Design and implement next-generation platforms, automation frameworks, SDKs, and tools
Develop and maintain a cloud-based test execution system to reduce effort required for automatic testing and manual testing
Introduce progress and help revolutionize operations, laying the foundation for innovation and growth
Building and maintaining platforms that support the development, testing, and deployment of products and services
Ensuring platforms are designed with scalability, security, and efficiency in mind
Collaborating with development teams to ensure platforms meet their needs and are integrated into their workflows
Staying up-to-date with the latest platform engineering trends and technologies, and applying that knowledge to improve the company's platforms
Troubleshooting and resolving platform-related issues, and collaborating with other teams to resolve complex problems
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent military experience
At least 6 years of hands-on experience as a Platform engineering, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or equivalent
Experience working with cloud services in big public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Strong programming skills in Python (or another high-level language) and experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
Experience with containerization technologies (docker, containers) and orchestration, especially with various Kubernetes deployments
Preferred
Strong experience with automation tools (like Ansible, Terraform)
Security background in general and security programs knowledge in particular
Experience with building or maintaining automation frameworks for large organizations impacting 1000+ engineers
