Office Support Person VI - JPO
Montgomery County, PA is seeking an Office Support Person VI who will serve as the first point of contact for the department. This role involves direct interaction with juveniles and the public, as well as assisting in administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Responsibilities
Assist the Administrative/Support Manager with requisitions and/or time and attendance duties for the department; and perform these tasks in their absence
Ensure adequate coverage is provided for in the absence of support staff
Direct in-person contact with juveniles, families, and related agencies in order to carry out the essential functions of the department
Frequently serves as first contact with the public; must conduct themselves in a professional manner, treating all people with dignity and respect in order to represent the department in a positive manner
Foster an environment which promotes diversity, equity and inclusion
Assist the Officers in triaging the daily activities of the department including unexpected and unforeseen issues as they arise; keep the appropriate staff informed of all juveniles and visitors requiring officer interaction
Assist with monitoring of the waiting room and security cameras for potentially dangerous behaviors and/or suspicious activities
May be required to work in various office locations including the Courthouse Sub-Office, Willow Grove, and/or Lansdale
Review all correspondence pertaining to the caseload; respond to inquiries of juveniles, family members, and partnering agencies; document all case specific information in accordance with departmental policy
Facilitate the dispensation of cases at various stages in the criminal justice process, including but not limited to cataloguing, transferring inter-county and out of state, certifications to various agencies, closure at expiration and removal of records upon receipt of Court ordered expungement in accordance with office policy
Record juvenile’s personal data, contact with juvenile, treatment information, relevant Court documentation, and any other information that furthers case management goals. Information gathered will be maintained and updated on a regular basis in the defendant’s case record
Identify and conduct initial investigation of alleged referrals and violations and facilitate reassignment to a Probation Officer per office policy
Familiarity with departmental tools and assessments
Complete training and maintain compliance with Mandated Reporting Regulations through PA Child Protective Services Law
Obtain JNET certification; maintain recertification
Complete 16 hours of job-related training or further education on an annual basis
Maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity with processing all department and Court documents
Perform additional duties, tasks, and special projects as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have typing, data entry, record keeping, and telephone skills
Must possess oral and written communication skills
Must be accurate, detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task
Must have the ability to work independently and in a team setting
Requires professionalism and a commitment to treating people with dignity and respect
Undergo thorough pre-employment background investigation including drug screen
Preferred
Previous office experience is preferred
May require local travel; a valid driver's license is preferred
