Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of insurance coverage disputes (primarily financial lines, including D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Cyber, Media, and E&O policies), including substantial coverage litigation at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as a growing number of matters involving the defense of insureds under these policies

Analyze complex legal and factual issues regarding insurance coverage and insurance defense

Draft coverage opinions, coverage letters, pleadings, and legal memoranda at both the trial and appellate levels

Develop efficient and effective resolution strategies

Communicate timely and effectively with clients, and provide a high level of service

Meet court and internal deadlines

JD from accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in NYLitigation experienceInsurance coverage experienceFederal court practiceJudicial clerkshipWritten communicationVerbal communication

Required

JD from an accredited law school

Must be admitted to practice in the state of New York

2-8 years of litigation experience

2-8 years of Insurance coverage experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Federal court practice is an asset

Judicial clerkship a plus
