Maintenance Group Leader 2nd and 3rd Shift

Responsibilities
Oversight and management of hourly maintenance technicians
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters
Ensure that equipment and tools are in good condition for use. Propose plans for preventive maintenance and corrective action
Oversight and management of front-line maintenance technicians. Typically managing hourly employee populations
Communicate equipment needs / updates on a daily rhythm to plant leadership
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
The individual in this role will supervise both shifts. Their primary focus will be on the 2nd shift, but also swing to cover the 3rd shift once or a few times per week as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Production Supervision experience)
Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing or Production Supervision experience
