ANALYST II

The California Department of Social Services is dedicated to serving, protecting, and supporting Californians in need. The Analyst II role involves implementing policies and programs that enhance tribal, state, and county government relationships, particularly in relation to the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). The Analyst II will identify issues impacting county implementation of ICWA and provide necessary technical assistance.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, Supervisor II, and Director of the Office of Tribal Affairs (OTA Director), the Analyst II is a technical specialist and policy analyst implements localized regional approach in building enhanced tribal, state and county government relationships
The Analyst II is an integral part to implementing and sustaining the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and developing materials associated with documenting the relationship building efforts and effectiveness
The Analyst II will serve a key role in identifying issues that impact county implementation of ICWA and providing technical assistance and support

Required
