Responsibilities
Process payroll accurately and on schedule for assigned clients
Serve as the primary support contact for payroll-related questions
Troubleshoot payroll, tax, and system issues independently
Maintain earnings, deductions, tax codes, and banking settings
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Support quarterly reconciliation and partner with tax teams
Communicate with clients via phone, email, and screen sharing
Train clients to confidently manage their payroll systems
Document changes and resolutions clearly
Qualification
Required
2–3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
Experience supporting payroll clients or internal payroll operations
Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance
Comfort working in payroll and HRIS platforms
Excellent communication and organization skills
Preferred
Experience working for a payroll provider or HR technology company
Payroll certifications (FPC, CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP)
Time & labor management system experience
