PURCHASING ASSISTANT

Medegen Medical Products is seeking a Purchasing Assistant responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager and performing various administrative duties. The role involves processing requisitions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures.

Responsibilities

Process requisitions and purchase orders
Research past due orders and inquire with vendors on orders
Filing of purchase orders
Special projects as directed
Maintain inventory of select items
Manage contracted inventories as needed
Negotiate best possible pricing terms
Compiles with all SQF procedures
Reports any food safety problems to a member of management of SF Practitioner

Qualification

Microsoft OfficePurchasing knowledgeAS400Accounts Payable SystemStress managementWorkplace interactions

Required

Minimum of two (2) years of office experience
Minimum of two (2) years of college is preferred, but an additional three (3) years work experience can substitute for college
Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to create spreadsheets
Must be knowledgeable in purchasing
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
