Chief Revenue Officer

GTM Talent LLC is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for a pre-IPO, growth-stage technology company to lead their go-to-market strategy. The CRO will unify revenue functions, improve execution, and engage in strategic partnerships while building the necessary infrastructure for scaling the business.

Responsibilities

Creating a unified GTM strategy and operating cadence
Improving visibility, accountability, and follow-through
Strengthening forecasting accuracy, pipeline discipline, and CRM rigor
Sharpening packaging and messaging as the platform expands into new workflows and customer segments
Align Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Marketing around shared priorities, metrics, and execution cadence
Clarify ownership and handoffs across the full funnel and customer lifecycle
Build forecasting discipline that leadership can trust
Elevate pipeline hygiene, CRM usage, and reporting so the company can run the business with confidence
Operate effectively in a GTM model where a meaningful portion of revenue flows through a concentrated set of strategic partners or service providers
Strengthen key relationships while thoughtfully expanding diversification over time
Personally engage in the opportunities and relationships that matter most
Lead with credibility, calm urgency, and operator judgment — not sales theatrics
Partner closely with Product as capabilities evolve (workflow automation, integrations, platform features, AI-enabled functionality)
Translate what’s being built into clear packaging, adoption paths, and expansion strategy
Lead and develop high-performing teams, including experienced and long-tenured leaders
Raise the bar while maintaining a grounded, direct, and accountable culture

Required

currently (or most recently) a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) or Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in a $50M+ revenue company, with full GTM ownership (beyond sales)
owned multiple GTM functions under a single operating umbrella (Sales + at least one of Marketing, Partnerships, CS)
built repeatability and predictability in a scale-up environment
led or played a senior role through a successful liquidity event (IPO, acquisition, or PE-led sale/recap)
operated in partner-influenced or ecosystem-driven models
strong enterprise and strategic deal judgment and pattern recognition
deep operating discipline (metrics, cadence, forecasting, CRM rigor)
high EQ and the ability to align teams without bulldozing
currently (or most recently) in a full-time CRO/CCO role; fractional or advisory-only CRO work is not the target profile

Preferred

Experience in ecosystem-led distribution models (platforms, marketplaces, embedded services, workflow or integration-driven products)
Familiarity with automation-heavy, API-first, or multi-system environments
