Responsibilities
Successful candidates are expected to develop research programs that are internationally recognized with significant and sustained funding, incorporate interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers across campus, and demonstrate a strong commitment to engineering education
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervising master’s and doctoral students, and participate in service activities within the department, college, universities and profession
Qualification
Required
Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Demonstrate documented potential for outstanding research
Excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses
Supervising master's and doctoral students
Participate in service activities within the department, college, universities and profession
Preferred
Applications from all materials and manufacturing areas are welcome
Areas of particular interest include advanced manufacturing for metal, ceramic, semiconductor, composite, and biomaterials, and nanomaterials and smart materials
Candidates with strong backgrounds in materials and processing innovation with applications to other manufacturing areas will also be considered
