Gemini Group, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent responsible for sourcing and cost maintenance processes that support the company. The role includes managing procurement projects and providing summaries, reports, and recommendations related to purchasing activities.

Responsibilities

Provide input, execute, and maintain commodity strategies

Provide operations request for quote feedback and provide evidence of cost achievement at the time of SOP compared to initial quote

Maintain an up-to-date filing system to support IATF requirements

Provide input into the sourcing process

Develop and maintain an approved supplier list; participate in sourcing recommendations based on total cost and analyzing supplier performance through supplier visits and audits

Create visual supplier scorecards

Review procedures to ensure accuracy and fill any gaps identified in specified procedures

Coordinate continuous improvement functions, initiate and develop cost savings opportunities and engage in problem solving activities to improve purchasing initiatives

Collaborate with other departments and vendors to ensure the success of receiving purchases timely

Monitor/maintain production purchase order pricing and budget targets

Place orders for production materials utilizing MRP and other information inputs

Place orders for indirect materials as requested through request and approval process
