Client Services Coordinator

End of Life Washington provides end-of-life counseling and client support services throughout the State of Washington. The Client Services Coordinator will respond to inquiries, manage client interactions, and support volunteers while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients.

Responsibilities

Receive and respond to inquiries/questions about the Death with Dignity law, Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking, End of Life Care, and other topics by phone and email
Support in managing clients and volunteers as needed via phone, email, zoom, and in-person conversations
Coordinate with and respond to hospice and provider inquiries
Update and create new client materials as needed
Evaluate and improve client services, encouraging feedback
Process and track financial assistance requests
Support volunteers in navigating complicated client cases
Ensure and support volunteers in following best practices and EOLWA policies
Assist in updating or developing new training material for volunteers
Evaluate and improve client services
Act as a volunteer client advisor (VCA) when necessary and available
Assist in managing the VCA community resources
Cover Client Services when Client Services Manager is out of the office
Assist with other client services as needed
Answer questions relating to client intakes
Help connect and assign volunteers to clients, following up when necessary
Cover intake and assignment process if intake volunteers are unavailable or need support
Respond in real time to inquiries from phone volunteers
Forward appropriate voicemails to phone volunteers to respond to
Answer calls or return voicemails when phone volunteers are unavailable or need support
Meet all deadlines, including administrative deadlines
Take on additional duties as assigned
Ensure that all efforts above contribute to advancing a genuinely welcoming, inclusive, and equitable approach to end-of-life choices for staff, volunteers, and clients across a spectrum of age, class race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, socioeconomic status, and ability
Collaborate and coordinate effectively with co-workers and volunteers

Required

Ability to work every Friday and 1-2 other days a week
Flexibility to cover client services as needed
Must have a Washington State address
Willing to travel occasionally within WA for staff and community gatherings
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office & Zoom
Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies as needed i.e. Salesforce
Able to make accurate judgment calls that may diverge from policies and procedures but that best support clients

Preferred

Strong preference for experience with Medical Aid in Dying and Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking
