Responsibilities

Ensure Equipment Reliability: By troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems, you'll keep equipment available and capable, ensuring smooth operations
Promote Safety: Your adherence to safety protocols and immediate reporting of hazards will help maintain a safe working environment for everyone
Enhance Quality: Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, you'll support equipment uptime and perform quality inspections to ensure top-notch performance
Support Preventive Maintenance: Providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and performing maintenance activities will help prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime
Mentor and Lead: By instructing and coaching others, you'll share your expertise and help develop the skills of less experienced team members
Improve Processes: Identifying and reducing manufacturing constraints, solving problems, and participating in continuous improvement activities will enhance overall efficiency
Maintain Cleanliness: Keeping your work area clean and orderly, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks, will contribute to a safe and efficient workspace
Foster Teamwork: Effective communication with your team and support teams, along with active participation in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams, will drive improvements in quality, safety, processes, and employee development

Required

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations
Must possess 7 years' experience working in the relevant Trade field
Successful completion of an approved 4-year, 8000 hours on-the-job training apprenticeship program with the related course of study, plus 1 year working in the pertinent Trade Field
2-year Technical Degree in the related field (Machine Repair, Electrical), plus 3 years' experience working in the field of this particular Skilled Trade
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience
Knowledge and understanding of the NEC and IEC (National Electrical Code and Industrial Electrical Code) is required along with training, authorization, and certification in 70E
Knowledge and troubleshooting skills of PLC, HMI, Servo Drives, CNC, automation, and Robotic controls is required
Completion of PM and WO's task along with failure remarks are required to be done in the Maximo system
Must be able to make decisions based on the knowledge of schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, etc
Familiar with the use of various electrical tools and able to safely use them 100% of the time to perform quality inspections and/or testing
Must have industrial experience - residential or commercial backgrounds will not be considered
Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours
Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience
Strong background in mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Experience with CNC machinery and engine-related components
Prior work as a Millwright or equivalent mechanical role

Preferred

Candidates who can clearly explain: What types of machines they've worked on, What kinds of repairs they've performed, A specific job that required deep troubleshooting and how they resolved it
No need for a journeyman card if experience is equivalent
Technical education or certifications are helpful but not required
