YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a Billing Specialist to support centralized billing operations for childcare, programs, and memberships. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customer billing, collections, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

Perform billing-related responsibilities including but not limited to:

Calculating, creating and delivering invoices

Establishing and reconciling customer accounts

Investigating and resolving billing errors and customer disputes in a timely and courteous manner

Making adjustments, write-offs, and corrections to account records

Contact customers about overdue payments and follow up to ensure timely payment

Reconcile, code and apply incoming payments to accounts

Assists customers and the general public with billing and registration information and questions

Maintains regular communication with the Leadership Team regarding customer special needs, considerations, or problems that may occur

Provides ongoing support to branches and customer service teams on billing procedures and policies

Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by and agreed to by their supervisor to meet the changing needs of the billing team and customer support
