The State of Nebraska is seeking a Paralegal to join their team within the Governor's Office and Department of Administrative Services. The role involves assisting legal counsels in preparing and coordinating legal responses, as well as managing public records requests.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Coordinate and Monitor all Governor's Office Public Records Requests

Complete basic legal research for projects at the direction of the Governor's General Counsel

Coordinate with legal professionals across the executive branch on priority issues

Prepare legal documents as well as everyday letters, emails, forms, etc

Review legal documents for errors and omissions

General Administrative Support

Assist the Department of Administrative Services General Counsel

All other duties assigned within the scope of the classification

Required

Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from an American Bar Association approved program at an accredited college or successful completion of a program at an American Bar Association approved paralegal institute

Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis

Regular and Reliable attendance is required

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Basic understanding of the operations of a law office
