Craft Developer (K–5 Social-Emotional Learning)
InnerJoy Ed is building preventive mental health education for children by making emotional skills tangible through hands-on learning. They are seeking an experienced Craft Developer to design 180 age-appropriate, classroom-ready craft activities that bring Social-Emotional Learning to life for grades K–5.
Primary/Secondary Education
Responsibilities
Design printable, black-and-white craft activities aligned to SEL lessons
Create two versions of each craft:
Basic: print-only (no materials)
Enhanced: simple, school-available supplies
Physically make and photograph every craft
Ensure activities are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and classroom-realistic
Collaborate closely with curriculum, video, and production teams
Work on-site during Phase 1; hybrid flexibility afterward
Qualification
Required
5+ years designing crafts for children (K–5)
Strong printable worksheet + craft design skills
Understanding of child development & fine motor progression
Ability to design within constraints (materials, time, accessibility)
Portfolio of child-tested, hands-on activities
Comfortable working on-site in Princeton, NJ
Preferred
SEL, education, art therapy, or classroom experience
Canva (printables, guides, templates)
Pinterest (craft inspiration & trends)
Midjourney or DALL·E (concept visualization)
