The Accounting Associate will handle transaction processing, ensure general ledger integrity, and collaborate with various teams to support financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

Execute daily accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

Process vendor invoices for approval and payment, ensuring accuracy and proper coding to cost centers or projects

Reconcile cash and other accounts, as needed

Support month-end and year-end close activities, preparing journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP

Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking in collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain

Support cash management and forecasting, including tracking vendor payments and project-related spend

Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures aligned with corporate policies

Assist with audit preparation, tax filings, and coordination with external auditors and consultants

Ensure documentation compliance with SOX-readiness and quality management standards, as applicable to a CDMO

Support the implementation and optimization of the ERP/accounting system (e.g., NetSuite)

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting capabilities

Collaborate with the finance and leadership team to establish scalable processes as the organization moves toward commercialization
