Responsibilities
Monitor and control access points to the facility, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit in accordance with site-specific policies
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directions
Perform regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any suspicious behavior or incidents
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments
Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations to Allied Universal and site management as required
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site procedures
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure and orderly environment at the location
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Alarm panel experience is preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
