Responsibilities
Drive operational excellence by leading and empowering the Distribution and Receiving Supervisors to meet performance, safety, and service goals
Ensure seamless coordination of warehouse functions to support timely and accurate order fulfillment, staging, and distribution in alignment with organizational standards
Optimize inventory flow and storage across warehouse locations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and temperature control requirements
Champion accuracy and accountability in all inbound and outbound processes, supporting high customer satisfaction
Ensure accurate and efficient volunteer event set up daily
Promote effective inventory management by reinforcing FIFO and FEFO practices
Maintain an optimally organized inventory system to ensure precise & efficient inventory counts supporting accuracy and operational goals
Foster a culture of safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement by upholding regulatory standards and proactively addressing facility and equipment needs
Build team capability through hands-on leadership, training, and performance coaching, ensuring staff are equipped to meet operational demands
Serve as a key liaison between warehouse operations and the VP of Operations ensuring clear communication, strategic alignment, and operational continuity
Lead by example in maintaining a high-performance, mission-driven warehouse environment that supports the organization’s goals and community impact
Take initiative in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and team collaboration
Step in to support all warehouse functions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations
As a part of the Operations Management Team, champion a culture of safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence across all warehouse and storage environments in partnership with warehouse leadership
Lead all warehouse audit preparation efforts to ensure full compliance and successful audit results while minimizing risk and reinforcing accountability
As a part of the Operations Management Team, strengthen operational resilience by supporting the VP of Operations in preparing for and responding to audits, inspections, and reporting obligations
Strengthen operational excellence by supporting all divisions within the Operations Department through strategic scheduling, targeted training, and performance development initiatives
Cultivate a high-performing team culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning to drive organizational success
Enhance cross-functional effectiveness by proactively supporting interdepartmental initiatives and ensuring seamless operational integration across teams
Contribute to long-term organizational growth by participating in the planning and execution of special projects that expand capacity and deepen community impact
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to use computers effectively, including basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills to engage with donors, partners, agencies, and internal teams
High attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret orders, complete documentation, and follow written instructions
Ability to uphold FIND Food Bank's policies, values, and operational standards with integrity and consistency
Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds and operate all powered industrial equipment
Valid California Driver's License, proof of auto insurance and insurability under FIND's commercial auto policy
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to support operational demands and community events
